Press Trust of India New Delhi
Tracking a firming trend in the precious metals overseas, silver futures prices today moved up by 0.31% to Rs 50,100 per kg as speculators enlarged their positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 145, or 0.31%, to Rs 50,100 per kg in business turnover of 20 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December gained Rs 110, or 0.23%, to Rs 48,541 per kg in 840 lots.

Market analysts said increased buying by speculators amid a better global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
