Silver futures for March went up by Rs 227, or 0.39%, to Rs 58,426 per kg in 1,609 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the May contract traded higher by Rs 118, or 0.37%, to Rs 59,784 per kg in 120 lots.
Speculators enlarging their positions supported the trade.
Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Charles Evans saying that the US central bank should keep policy accommodative to support the economy boosted silver futures trade globally.
In Singapore, silver rose 0.80% to $ 30.69 an ounce.
