Silver futures up 0.49% on global cues

Pick-up in spot market demand supported the price

Silver futures for May rose by Rs 290, or 0.49%, to Rs 59,577 per kg in 116 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange today.

The March contract was up by Rs 279, or 0.48%, to Rs 58,265 per kg in 3,472 lots.

Pick-up in spot market demand, a firming trend in the Asian region also influenced silver futures trade here. 

In Singapore, silver rose by 0.43% to $ 30.31 an ounce.
