Speculators enlarge positions pushing up prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Taking positive cues from overseas markets, silver prices recovered by 0.37% to Rs 45,925 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December rose by Rs 170, or 0.37%, to Rs 45,925 per kg in business turnover of five lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 148, or 0.33%, to Rs 45,060 per kg in 433 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators at prevailing levels helped silver futures to trade higher.

Meanwhile, silver traded little changed at $20.82 an ounce in Singapore.
