Silver prices gained Rs 59 to Rs 33,177 per kg in futures market today, as speculators enlarged their positions on pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for December month gained Rs 59, or 0.18 per cent to Rs 33,177 per kg with a business turnover of one lot.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in July month edged higher by Rs 54, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 33,513 per kg with a business volume of 4 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market led to the rise in silver prices at futures trade.
