Silver up 0.1% on higher global trend

Analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to a firm global trend

Silver prices moved up by 0.18% to Rs 46,200 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by a higher global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May rose by Rs 83, or 0.18%, to Rs 46,200 per kg in a business turnover of 40 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March moved up by Rs 74, or 0.16%, to Rs 45,210 per kg in 1,935 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to a firm global trend.

Meanwhile, silver climbed 0.3% to $20.35 an ounce in Singapore.
