Small sugar prices dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to fall in demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample stock positions.
While, medium sugar variety showed mixed pattern of trading owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) slid by Rs 14/30 per quintal to Rs 2,731/2,821 from its overnight close of Rs 2,761/2,835.
Medium sugar (M-30), however were quoted at Rs 2,886/2,931 per quintal as against Rs 2,821/2,941 yesterday.
