Soda ash rises on firm demand

Soda ash prices rose by Rs 25 per 50 kg in the national capital today, influenced by a firming demand from consuming units.

Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the uptrend.

Soda ash (Tata, Gujarat, DCW and Birla) prices increased by Rs 25 each to conclude at Rs 1,000 and Rs 975 each per 50 kg bag.

Marketmen said firming demand from consuming units, tight supplies from producing belts also pushed up soda ash prices on the wholesale chemical market here.
