Sonata Software gains on Goldman Sachs stake buy

Goldman Sachs India Fund bought 2.72 million shares representing 2.59% stake in Sonata Software at Rs 175 per share.

Shares of Sonata Software were trading higher by 3% to Rs 171 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after Goldman Sachs India Fund acquired 2.72 million equity shares through open market.

On March 17, 2015, Goldman Sachs India Fund bought 2.72 million shares representing 2.59% stake in Sonata Software at a price of Rs 175 per share, the NSE bulk deal data shows.

Meanwhile, Orange Mauritius Investments sold 2.69 million shares of the information technology company.

The stock opened at Rs 169 and touched a high of Rs 172 so far.  A combined 497,443 shares changed hands on the counter till 1314 hours on the NSE and BSE.
