Soyabean prices declined by Rs 23 to Rs 2,397 per quintal in future trade today on fresh selling by traders, driven by weak global sentiment.

Market analysts attributed the weakening of soyabean futures prices to the fall in soyabean prices at international markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soyabean for delivery in July declined by Rs 23, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 2,397 per quintal, with an open interest of 26,810 lots.

Likewise, prices for delivery in May fell by Rs 16.50, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 2,352.50 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,64,690 lots.

Soyabean futures prices for delivery in April fell by Rs 16, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 2,316 per quintal, with a business volume of 1,45,160 lots.
