Steel Strips Wheels has rallied nearly 13% to Rs 194 in trades today after the company reported encouraging November sales.
The wheel rim manufacturer in a filing to the stock exchange said, it has sold 8,16,000 steel wheel rims during the month of November up 6.9% compared to 7,63,000 rims during November 2010.
The company also reported a growth 531% in sale of truck wheel rims and and 56% in the sale of tractor wheel rims during the previous month. The export sales grew by 33% on y-o-y basis to 76,056 wheel rims.
In intra-day deals the stock opened at Rs 174 and touched the high of Rs 196. The trading volume on the counter has also soared as 65,811 shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange have changed hands compared to its two-week average of 3,166 shares.
