Stable Phase After A Weak Run

NON-FERROUS METALS

Prices remained stable in the domestic non-ferrous metals market last week on more or less steady overseas advices after weak phase in the previous week.

Nickel cathodes were the exception, gaining from Rs 556 to Rs 565. International markets witnessed overall weakness on good leads from US.

Tin slabs marginally declined to Rs 318 from Rs 320. Copper heavy scrap was steady at Rs 108.50, with utensil scrap stable at Rs 100.50. Brass utensil scrap remained unchanged at Rs 82.50 as was brass sheet at Rs 86.50.

Aluminium utensil scrap stagnated at Rs 76.50, with copper wire bar steady at Rs 126.50, while zinc slabs held on at Rs 65.50 and lead ingots at Rs 38.25.
