Steel prices remain quiet in thin trade

Quiet conditions persisted in the local steel and iron market today as prices continued to trade in a narrow range in the absence of buying support and settled around previous levels.

Traders said restricted buying activity mainly kept steel prices around previous levels.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per tonne:
