Steel prices remain steady in thin trade

Steady conditions prevailed at the local steel and iron market today as prices moved in a tight range on in restricted buying and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said adequate stocks against restricted buying activity mainly kept steel prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations per tonne: 

CTD saria (Kamdhenu) 8-mm 42,000, 10-mm 43,700, 12-mm 42,400, 16-25 mm 40,250
Saria Jai Bharat (ISO 9002) 8-mm 39,650, 10 mm 38,850, 12-mm 38,050, 16-25 mm 38,050
