Higher prices of natural gas take the heat out of gas utility stocks

The sharp rise in the price of natural gas has impacted margins of downstream players. The domestic price of natural gas was reset in April to $6.1 per MMBTU (metric million British Thermal Unit) from $2.9 in the previous six-month period. The next reset will be in October.
