HCL Technologies has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it has won a mandate from French aircraft manufacturer Airbus France for the development of sophisticated embedded software for the system of data acquisition computer of Airbus A340 Flight Warning System.
The terms of reference of the project, code named ODESA, in its first phase, will include the migration of the embedded software development environment from an older technology platform to a newer one.
Larsen & Toubro and Thames Water of the UK, in a 70:30 joint venture, have bagged a contract for leakage reduction control and water rehabilitation work in Bangalore.

The pilot project will cover 35,000 water service connections in the city and is valued at Rs 50 crore. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board (BWSSB) is the project-client.
The project is being funded by the Japan Bank for International Co-operations (JBIC). The project will be the first of its kind in India, where the district metre area concept will be adopted. The contract calls for project completion in 18 months.
After the pilot project experience, BWSSB may go for a study and rehabilitation of four lakh water service connections, valued at around Rs 400 crore.
