Trent has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Alliance Capital Mutual Fund has sold 1,00,000 shares amounting to 0.76 per cent of the company's voting rights on September 27, 2004, in the open market.

After the sale, Alliance MF's shareholding is 5,95,338 shares amounting to 4.54 per cent of the voting rights in Trent.
