Sugar prices fell modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to lower buying by stockists and retailers.
Medium sugar (M-30) moved down by Rs 5 per quintal to Rs 2,856/2,986 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,861/2,991.
Small sugar (S-30) also softened by Rs 3 per quintal to Rs 2,795/2,842 as compared to Rs 2,798/2,842 yesterday.
