Sugar millgate eases on selling pressure

Sugar millgate prices eased by Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital today, following ample supply from mills amid reduced offtake. 

Market analysts said increased offerings by the millers as they were clearing their positions ahead of month-end, trmainly created adequate stocks position in the spot market and advised speculators to reduce their commitments in futures. 

Reduced off-take by bulk consumers such as ice-cream and softdrink makers also helped to pulled down the prices.  

In millgate section, sugar titabi and thana bhavan lost by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,780 and Rs 2,750 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar budhana and dorala also fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 2,750 and Rs 2,800 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar ready M-30 2,940-3,065 and S-30 2,915-2,940
Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,850 and S-30 2,685-2,825

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,850, Asmoli 2,830, Mawana 2,810, Titabi 2,780, Thanabhavan 2,760, Budhana 2750 and Dorala 2,800
