Sugar prices fell further by Rs 10 per quintal in the national capital today on subdued demand from bulk consumers and retailers against adequate supply.

Market analysts said adequate availability of stocks following higher sugar quota for June and subdued demand mainly kept pressure on the sugar prices.

In the national capital, sugar ready medium and second grade prices shed another Rs 10 each to Rs 2,900-3,000 and Rs 2,870-2,990 per quintal, respectively.

Mill delivery medium and second grade price also traded lower by the same margin to Rs 2,700-2,890 and Rs 2,675-2,865 per quintal, respectively.
