Sugar prices roses modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today on fresh demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid better retail offtake.
Medium sugar (M-30) firmed up by Rs 15/20 per quintal to Rs 2,801/2,976 from its overnight closing level of Rs 2,781/ 2,961.
Small sugar (S-30) also gained by Rs 8/20 per quintal to Rs 2,741/2,782 as against Rs 2,733/2,762 previously.
