Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rallied 6 per cent to Rs 540 on the BSE on Tuesday on the back of heavy volumes. Till 12:05 pm, a combined 13.6 million equity shares had changed ands on the counter on the NSE and BSE. In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 0.85 per cent at 44,526 points.
The stock of the pharmaceutical company was trading at its highest level since August 31, 2020. It was near its 52-week high level of Rs 564.90, touched on August 28, 2020.
