Shares of Sutlej Textiles and Industries were up nearly 15% at Rs 607 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company reported 78% growth in net profit at Rs 49 crore compared with Rs 27 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Total income for the March 2016 quarter increased 17% to Rs 558 crore compared with Rs 478 crore in the quarter ended March 2015.
The board of directors of the company recommended the highest ever dividend of Rs 13 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2016, the company said in a release.
The stock opened at Rs 565 and touched a high of Rs 609. At 10:10am, over 217,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
