Suzlon promoters sell 2% in company

Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy today said one of its promoter groups Samanvaya Holdings has sold 2.08% stake in the company for Rs 100.45 crore.

"Samanvaya Holdings has sold 3.7 crore shares, representing 2.08% stake in the wind-turbine maker, for Rs 100.45 crore through an open market transaction," Suzlon Energy said in a disclosure to the BSE.

Post the sale of shares, Samanvaya Holdings's stake in Suzlon Energy has fallen to 1.86% from 3.94% previously, the disclosure added.

The sale has reduced the overall share of the founder group entities in Suzlon to 52.76% from 54.84%, it said.

Suzlon shares today closed at Rs 25.6, down 12.5% from its previous close on the BSE.
