Suzlon Energy has rallied 7% at Rs 50.75 after its subsidiary, REpower, signed a 43.05 MW order with Energiekontor UK.
“REpower UK will be supplying nine of REpower’s MM82 turbines to Energiekontor UK wind farm at Withernwick in Yorkshire and twelve to Hyndburn wind farm on in Lancashire. The turbines at these sites have a rated capacity of 2.05 megawatts (MW) per turbine,” the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The stock of Suzlon Energy opened at Rs 47.65 and hit a high of Rs 51 on the BSE. As many as 1.91 million equity shares have changed hands on the counter so far as against an average 3.56 million shares traded daily in the past two weeks.
