Tantia Constructions rises on bagging Rs 45-cr orders

Tantia Constructions has moved higher by 5% at Rs 69.75 after the company received two construction orders worth Rs 45 crore.

The company has bagged a Rs 34 crore order from local government engineering department, Government of Bangladesh, for execution of work for construction of PC girder bridge over Modhumati river on Gopalgonj-Singati Upazila road.

“The second order, worth Rs 11 crore, came from North Western Railway for the construction/extension of major/minor bridges, including earthwork,” the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.

The stock opened at Rs 65.20 and hit a high of Rs 70 post the announcement on NSE. A combined 30,221 shares have changed hands on the counter so far.
