Tata Comm extends gain on pact with Turkey's Turkcell Superonline

The company also plans to increase its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region

Tata Communications is trading higher by 2% at Rs 229, extending its Monday’s over 2% gain after the company said that it has partnered with Turkey's innovative operator Turkcell Superonline, to provide Turkish carriers and other European and Middle Eastern carriers in Istanbul connectivity to Tata Communications' Tier-1 internet backbone.
                
Meanwhile, PTI reports suggest that the Tata Group telecom company said that it is evaluating new business opportunities to increase its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the emerging markets.

The stock opened at Rs 224 and hit a high of Rs 230 on the National Stock Exchange. A total 73,358 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
