Tata Motors up on defence order buzz

Tata Motors rose by 10.72 per cent to close at Rs 161.60, on reports that the Indian defence will be placing large orders to buy vehicles to meet their requirements for the next two years.

The scrip opened at Rs 150 and touched a high of Rs 163.85 and a low of Rs 149 during intraday trade. A total 18.48 lakh shares changed hands on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
