Shares of TeamLease Services has plunged 19% to Rs 913 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in intra-day trade, erasing most of its gain recorded in past five trading sessions.
On February 12, the stock was listed at Rs 860 against its issue price of Rs 850 a share on the NSE. However, it had slipped to Rs 807, below the initial public offer (IPO) price, before closed at Rs 1,032, the maximum upper limit of the day. It rallied further and hit a high of Rs 1,209 during intra-day trade on February 16.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) like Goldman Sachs India Fund and The Master Trust Bank of Japan had bought equity shares worth of Rs 82 crore of TeamLease Services through open market.
On February 12, The Master Trust Bank of Japan A/c Nomura India Invest Fund Mother Fund had purchased 513,157 shares of the company at an average price of Rs 934 per share on the BSE and NSE, the bulk deal data shows.
Goldman Sachs India Fund acquired 237,182 shares at Rs 1,005 per share followed by 89,069 shares at Rs 1,123 per share on February 15, the NSE bulk deal data shows.
At 11:45 AM, the stock was down 16% at Rs 955 on the NSE. A combined nearly one million shares have already changed hands on the counter against an average around two million shares that were traded daily in past one week.
