Tech stocks continue north-bound

The Sensex is moving in a range of 6,985-7,000. Buying has picked up in tech stocks, with Reliance stocks and other select heavyweights also trading firm at higher levels.

The Sensex is now up 84 points at 6,990, while the Nifty has added 22 points at 2,145.

Reliance Energy has notched up 13.15% (Rs 78) to Rs 669. Reliance has gained 5.60% (Rs 34) to Rs 634.

Satyam has jumped 4.60% (Rs 22) to Rs 509, and Infosys has spurted 3% (Rs 70) to Rs 2,359. While TCS has scaled up 2.47% (Rs 31) to Rs 1,298, Wipro is up 1.82% (Rs 13) at Rs 757.

ONGC has rolled back into the green to Rs 924 - up Rs 6, while Tisco has moved up 1.88% (Rs 6) to Rs 347.

ICICI Bank has shed 2.81% (Rs 12) to Rs 404, while SBI is down 1.10% (Rs 7) at Rs 660. HDFC Bank is still marginally up at Rs 598.

Bajaj is unchanged with steady gains at Rs 1,254 - up Rs 4.

Hindalco has flared up 4.36% (Rs 50) to Rs 1,184. While HDFC has declined 1.21% (Rs 10) to Rs 851, Tata Power has declined 2% (Rs 8) to Rs 366.
