Themis Medicare has rallied 12% to Rs 507 on the BSE in noon deal after the company announced that its board approved a proposal to issue convertible warrants to promoters of the company and issue of equity shares to non-promoters investors.
The board approved issuance and allotment of 125,000 convertible warrants on preferential basis to four Indian promoters at the rate of Rs 500 each, entitling them to 125,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each convertible within 18 months of allotment of warrants, Themis Medicare said in a statement.
The company identified non-promoters investors for issuance of 500,000 equity shares at Rs 500 per share, subject to the approval of the members, it added.
Since May 6, the stock 23% from Rs 412 after the pharmaceutical company announced that the board will meet to consider a proposal for issue of equity shares of the company on preferential basis to the non-promoters. The S&P BSE Sensex gained 0.93% during the same period.
At 02:00 pm, the stock was up 10% at Rs 498 on the BSE. A combined 29,100 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE so far.
