Thoor dal moves up

The prices of thoor dal, sugar and sooji went up while rest all other commodities remained unaltered during the week under review in the wholesale foodgrains market here.

Thoor dal went up by Rs 100 on Monday at Rs 6,000 from its previous week's rate of Rs 5,900 and declined by Rs 100 on Tuesday to Rs 5,900 and ended the week at Rs 6,000.

Sugar after touching Rs 3,070 on Wednesday and settled at Rs 3,050 went up by Rs 50 per quintal over last week's rate of Rs 3,000. Sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,950.

Urad dal (Rs 6,500), moong dal (Rs 6,500), gram dal (Rs 3,050), wheat (Rs 1,950) and maida (Rs 1,950) were taken at their previous week's prices.
