Tin prices continued to rally at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to persistent buying from stockists coupled with heavy industrial demand.
Elsewhere, nickel, zinc, brass and lead also rose on the back of increased offtake from consumer industries. Meanwhile, copper and aluminium moved down owing to lower buying support.
Tin hardened by Rs 35 per kilo to Rs 1,080 from yesterday's closing level of RS 1,045 and nickel strengthened by Rs 15 per kilo to Rs 1,125, as against Rs 1,110 previously.
Brass utensils scrap and zinc both gained by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 258 and Rs 120. Lead also inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 110.
However, copper scrap heavy eased by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 374 from Rs 376.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and aluminium utensils scrap softened by a rupee to Rs 381, Rs 409 and Rs 94, respectively.
