Tinplate to add capacity

 TCIL managing director B L Raina said, the company would modernise its electrolytic tinplate (ETP) line and finetune the working of its cold rolling mill (CRM).

 To clean up its pollution scorecard, TCIL would install new FCB boilers and electrostatic precipitators.

 The expansion programme was in response to growing market demand and the unviable size of existing capacities.

 TCIL, for instance, was far below the globally-competitive size in tinplate manufacture with capacity of 1 lakh tonne.

 TCIL
