The trading has been suspended for one hour, and will commence again at 1255 hrs.

After the trading resumes, there will be a 15% lower circuit in case the markets fall further. Trading will be suspended for the day, if the index hits the 20% lower circuit.

There are no gainers among the Sensex stocks.

NTPC has crashed 19% to Rs 95. Tata Power has tumbled 14.7% to Rs 455. Reliance Energy is down 10.7% at Rs 459.

Cipla has slumped nearly 19% to Rs 180. Dr.Reddy's slipped over 10% to Rs 1,360. Ranbaxy is down nearly 6% at Rs 405.

Tata Motors has tumbled over 18% to Rs 694. Hero Honda has shed 8.5% to Rs 761. Marurti slipped nearly 8% to Rs 725, and Bajaj Auto declined over 7% to Rs 2,740.

Satyam has plunged 17% to Rs 552. Wipro dropepd 6% to Rs 461. Infosys is down 4.8% at Rs 2,832, and TCS is down 3.7% at Rs 1,824.

Bharti Tele has slipped 9.5% to Rs 350.

Gujarat Ambuja has shed 16.7% to Rs 79. ACC and Grasim have dropped around 15% each to Rs 640 and Rs 1,640, respectively.

Tata Steel has crashed 16.6% to Rs 420. Hindalco has shed 9% to Rs 172.

Larsen & Toubro has slumped 16.4% to Rs 2,090. BHEL has plunged over 12% to Rs 1,720.

While ITC has shed 12% to Rs 159, HLL has dropped 10.4% to Rs 218.

Reliance has slumped over 11% to Rs 868. ONGC has plunged over 8% to Rs 1,185.

ICICI Bank has declined over 10% to Rs 500, and HDFC Bank is down 9.7% at Rs 735. SBI has slipped 5.5% to Rs 820. HDFC shed 4% to Rs 1,201.

Losers outpace gainers in the ratio of 16:1 - i.e there are 16 declining stocks for every advancing share. Out of 2,230 stocks traded so far, 2,079 have declined, 128 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
