Turmeric down 1.5% on weak demand

Supply pressure following arrivals of new crop pulled down the prices

Turmeric futures for May fell by Rs 96, or 1.45% to Rs 6,540 per quintal in 18,635 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the April contract traded lower by Rs 80, or 1.22% to Rs 6,464 per quintal in 17,650 lots.

Supply pressure following arrivals of new crop at the spot market against weak demand affected the prices.
