Turmeric and jeera remained weak and traded up to Rs 200 per quintal lower in the national capital today in view of subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate supplies.

Besides, weakening trend in futures market and lower advices from producing belts also weighed on the prices. Turmeric prices fell  by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 16,500- 19,700 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 100 to Rs 12,200-12,500 and Rs 13,500-14,000 per quintal.
