Turmeric and jeera prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today as demand from retailers and stockists dipped.
Comfortable stocks position following fresh arrivals from producing belts also kept pressure on the prices. Turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 7,600-13,200 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded lower by Rs 100 to Rs 15,300-15,600 and Rs 17,600-17,800, respectively.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by local parties and weak export demand, mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
