Turmeric prices rose by Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as exporters amid a firm trend in futures trade.

Tight stocks position following fall in supplies from producing belts also influenced prices.

Turmeric prices rose by Rs 300 to settle at Rs 18,300-21,300 per quintal on heavy buying by stockists.

Traders said increased buying by stockists and overseas enquiries also boosted sentiment, mainly pushed up turmeric prices at wholesale kirana market here.
