Turmeric futures traded marginally higher by 0.14% to Rs 7,272 per quintal today on the back of better spot market trend.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in June gained Rs 10, or 0.14%, to Rs 7,272 per quintal, with an open interest of 7,590 lots.

July turmeric traded higher by the same margin to Rs 7,246 per quintal in 5,770 lots.

Traders said pick-up in spot market demand led to the rise in turmeric futures prices, however, weak export demand restricted the gains.
