Unitech hits 52-week high; zooms over 100% in 26 trading sessions

The stock hit 52-week high of Rs 8.30 on the NSE, surging 116% from its recent low of Rs 3.85 on June 8.

Unitech hits 52-week high; zooms over 100% in 26 trading sessions

Shares of real estate company Unitech have hit  52-week high of Rs 8.30, up 7% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in intra-day trade today. The stock soared more than 100% in the past 26 trading sessions.

The stock has outperformed the market by surging 116% from its recent low of Rs 3.85 on June 8, as compared to 3% rise in the Nifty 50 index. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 3.45 on February 11, this year in intra-day trade on the NSE.

The counter has seen huge trading volumes with a combined 100 million shares changed hands till 12:54 PM, against an average about 100 million shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the NSE and BSE.

According to bulk deals data, one Dilip Kumar Vishindas Lakhi bought 51.35 million equity shares representing 1.96% of total equity of Unitech for Rs 31 crore in past one month.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2016, Dilip Kumar Vishindas Lakhi purchased 18.07 million shares of real estate firm at price of Rs 7.33 per share on the NSE. Earlier, on June 16, 2016, he bought 33.28 million shares of Unitech at Rs 5.34 per share. LINK

At 01:14 PM, the stock was up 6% at Rs 8.20 on the NSE.
