Update: Asian markets rally on economic recovery hopes

Asian markets have ended up today on hopes of a recovery in global economy.

The Hang Seng rallied 860 points (5.5%) to 16,381.

The Straits Times rallied 114 points (6%) to 2,034. The Taiwan Weighted surged 338 points (5.5%) to 6,330.

The Shanghai Composite advanced 82 points (3%) to 2,560. The Seoul Compoiste gained 28 points (2%) at 1,398.

Asian stocks hav rallied smartly today, driven by the confidence that the global economy is recovering faster than expected.

The Hang Seng has rallied 648 points (4.2%) to 16,169.

The Shanghai Composite is up 62 points at 2,540, and the Taiwan Weighted Index have gained 362 points at 6,354

 

The Straits Times has increased 72 points to 1,993,  and the Seoul Composite is up 22 points at 1,392.

Asian markets are up this morning.

The Hang Seng has surged 386 points (2.5%) to 15,907.

The Taiwan Weighted, continuing last week's rise, has rallied 335 points (5.5%) to 6,327.

The Straits Times has advanced 35 points (2%) to 1,955. The Shanghai Composite and the Seoul Composite have added 1.5% each to 2,516 and 1,390, respectively.
