Upmove continues... Sensex gains 1,147pts

The Sensex is now up 1,147 points at 18,369.

ICICI Bank has zoomed over 12% to Rs 1,270. Reliance Energy has soared 11.5% to Rs 2,025.

Larsen & Toubro has surged nearly 10% to Rs 3,884. Hindalco and Ranbaxy have rallied around 9.5% each to Rs 166 and Rs 379, respectively.

NTPC, ONGC and Bharti Airtel have soared around 8% each to Rs 220, Rs 1,019 and Rs 918, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and HDFC Bank have advanced 7.3% each to Rs 672 and Rs 1,617, respectively.

Tata Motors has gained 6.7% at Rs 706. Tata Steel and Infosys have moved up 6.5% each to Rs 715 and Rs 1,510, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Hindustan Unilever are up around 6% each at Rs 663 and Rs 199, respectively.

Out of 2,728 stocks traded so far, 1,451 have advanced, 1,246 have declined and 31 are unchanged.
