The Sensex continues to extend gains, and is now up 481 points at 10,383.
The BSE Realty index has soared 9% to 1,794. The Metal index has surged nearly 7% to 6,228. The Bankex has rallied 6% to 4,882, and the Capital Goods index has moved up 5.4% to 7,604.
Tata Motors and DLF have zoomed around 12.5% to Rs 203 and Rs 198, respectively. Jaiprakash Associates has soared 10% to Rs 94.
Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 9% to Rs 430. Reliance Communications have rallied 8.5% to Rs 195.
SBI and Tata Steel have moved up over 7.5% each to Rs 1,158 and Rs 226, respectively.
Wipro and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 7% each to Rs 270 and Rs 720, respectively.
Sterlite and Tata Power have gained nearly 7% each at Rs 375 and Rs 848, respectively. Reliance Infrastructure has added 6.5% to Rs 585.
TCS and HDFC are up 6% each at Rs 577 and Rs 1,595, respectively.
The market breadth is exremely positive - out of 2,480 stocks traded so far, 1,917 have advanced, 488 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
