Upmove intact; Sensex surges 103pts

The Sensex touched a new peak at 10,423, and is now up 103 points at 10,385.

BHEL has surged 6.5% to Rs 2,039. ACC has flared up by 5% to Rs 626. ITC has soared 4.8% to Rs 174. Maruti has zoomed 4.5% to Rs 825, and Grasim has added 4.4% to Rs 1,742.

Tata Motors has rallied 3.8% to Rs 816. ICICI Bank has advanced 3.7% to Rs 617. Tata Steel and HLL have moved up 2.6% each to Rs 433 and Rs 245, respectively.

ONGC and Ranbaxy has plunged nearly 3% each to Rs 1,145 and Rs 430, respectively.

SBI, Satyam and Dr.Reddy's have declined over 1% each.

The market breadth is marginally negative. Out of 2,519 stocks traded so far, 1,344 have declined, 1,112 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
