Urad and its dal up on retailers demand

In restricted activity, urad and its dal prices increased by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on a rise in retailers demand.

Elsewhere, other pulses prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said pick up in retailers demand mainly led to the rise in wholesale urad and its dal prices.  

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 4,050-4,600 and Rs 5,000-5,400 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 4,050-4,600, Urad chilka (local) 5,000-5,400, best 5,550-5,850, Dhoya 5,500-5,600, Moong 4,100-4,500, Dal moong chilka local 5,150-5,550, Moong Dhoya local 5,500-5,700 and best quality 6,000-6,200
