Prices of urad dal, gram dal and wheat moved up in the wholesale foodgrains market here today, but the rates for sugar declined.
Urad dal rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,600 from Rs 7,500, while gram dal and wheat went up by Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 2,650 and Rs 1,650 respectively from Rs 2,600 and Rs 1,600.
However, sugar edged down by Rs 50 to Rs 2,800 from the previous rate of Rs 2,850 per quintal.
Thoor dal, moong dal, maida and sooji remained unaltered from their previous rates.
The following are today's rates per quintal: Thoor dal Rs 7,000, urad dal Rs 7,600, moong dal Rs 9,400, gram dal Rs 2,650, sugar Rs 2,800, wheat Rs 1,650, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,700.
