Prices of urad and moong lost up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on stockists selling amid subdued demand at existing higher levels.
Adequate stocks position in the market also influenced the trading sentiment to some extent. Marketmen said increased selling by stockists against fall in demand at prevailing higher levels put pressure on the urad and moong prices.
In the national capital, urad remained weak and shed Rs 50 to Rs 5,050-5,600 while its dal chilka local and dhoya local were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,400-6,800 and Rs 7,000-7,100 per quintal.
Moong Maharashtra also shed Rs 50 to Rs 6,650-6,950, while moong chilka local,dhoya local and best quality lost Rs 100 each to Rs 7,450-7,850, Rs 7,600-7,800 and Rs 8,100-8,300 per quintal.
