Urad, moong rise on stockists buying

Urad and moong prices rose up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on stockists buying followed by pick up in demand. Marketmen said fresh buying by stockists driven by pick up in demand pushed up wholesale urad and moong prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,450-6,000 and Rs 6,700-7,100, while best and dhoya too traded higher by the same margin at Rs 7,400-7,700 and Rs 7,400-7,500 per quintal.

Moong Maharashtra and moong dal chilka enquired higher by Rs 150 each to Rs 6,600-6,900 and 7,300-7,700, while moong dhoya local and best quality gained Rs 200 each to Rs 7,500- 7,700 and 8,100-8,300 per quintal.
