Urad, moth falls on sluggish demand

Urad and moth prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on sluggish demand at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position.  

Traders said adequate stocks following increased arrivals from producing belts against sluggish demand, mainly led to fall in urad and moth prices.  

Urad remained weak and lost another Rs 50 to Rs 3,700-4,250, while its dal chilka local, best and dhoya were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,500-4,900, Rs 5,000-5,300 and Rs 5,200-5,300 per quintal. 

Moth dipped by Rs 200 to Rs 4,300-4,600 per quintal.
